Adultery and Fitness: Why It’s Important to Stay Healthy After Infidelity
What exactly is the relation between adultery and fitness? Why is it so important?
So many people who are going through infidelity crises focus only on the pain and depression they are feeling that they tend to forget to take care of their physical health. When it comes to adultery and fitness, nothing should be ignored.
As much as I understand how easily it can be for people to tend to let themselves go in situations like this, I think it just adds to the depression and negative view that we have of ourselves in general. All of your attention is centered on your partner and the other person and you just forget to do everything else. Or maybe you just feel so useless and down that even the thought of getting up from bed is painful.
But making the time to start working out or continue with the one you already have can become powerful tools in helping you deal with your infidelity crisis. Here’s why adultery and fitness should come hand in hand:
First of all, attending to your health, your eating habits and exercises shifts your focus from your partner and the other person to yourself. Giving your full attention to the other person will only bring you down and make you think of yourself as less than what you really are. One of the main things that I encourage my clients to do is to focus on themselves and take responsibility for the things they do and feel. The easiest, simplest way to start is by focusing on the physical body and taking care of it.
Another reason why adultery and fitness are connected is because doing something with your body, like exercising and stretching and all of that, is a great way of reducing stress, and calming and clearing your head.
Adultery and fitness is also a way for you to regain the confidence you lost upon discovering your partner’s infidelity. As you continue to take care of your body and you see the changes in it, you become reminded of your strength and beauty, not just physically but as a person as well. The way you perceive yourself becomes positive and you start to feel better about yourself.
A lot of the people, mostly women, who go through infidelity crises tend to question or doubt their physical attractiveness. And by taking care of your physical fitness, you can reverse those doubts and be assured of just how beautiful and attractive you are.
And once you become reminded of these things, you begin to exude that confidence in yourself that becomes attractive to other people in return. Yes, physical beauty can only go so far, but what others will see is still how you present yourself to the world.
You start to take control. Upon the discovery of infidelity, most victims feel like everything they know is ripped from them and there’s nothing they can do about it but wait and suffer and be in pain. They feel like they can’t move, like they can’t do anything by themselves. But by controlling your body, making it move when you want to and making it do things that you want to do, you take control and you feel it. You start to feel like a master pulling the strings instead of a puppet dependent on the other person’s moves.
But I do understand how seemingly petty it is to be exercising and working out when everything in your life is falling apart, to be using adultery and fitness as a way to forget. I know how hard it is to simply take a step forward every single day in the midst of an infidelity crisis. And even when we have the intention to do something and start anew, it’s difficult to actually do it. But just like everything else in life, adultery and fitness isn’t going to be easy. You will need help and support from every person you can get it from.
