My wife and I have differences. I will admit that in the Biblical sense I have cheated and lied to her. She has stated that she’s forgiven me, but reminds me of the past. I have been trying my best, since then my Love for her has grown more than I could ever imagine. When I talked to her since my mother passed. It’s like she ignores me. When I received my share of the estate I put it in the joint checking account. Now, that the household items have been shipped and received, she said she prefers to be by herself because she has the grown kids and grandkids there. This is frustrating and literally killing me. Since the house was sold she has lied to me too many times. The kids have been there when she’s put me down and talked down to me.
My heart is aching and it’s conditions don’t help. I want her back, what can I do. She’s had 2 concussions this year, 31 years ago I sustained a severe TBI.
Can you help me

Suzy, in my opinion you do not need to be belittled for 38 years. Especially if your husband is continuing having an affair and staying married…Why? For me, this is unacceptable. Yet, for others, they agree and are said to have what is known as an open marriage. I am monogamous and intend to stay this way.

From the way you explain your situation, if it were me, I would get on with my life without the spouse. My divorce was final on June 16, 2016. It took me a long time to handle it, but now I am so grateful that he had an affair, lied about it, did not fight a divorce, and has caused me to be where I am at the present moment in time. I love my life. I am around honest people and being very active in my own personal recovery. Yeah…

Good luck to you.

Writing a letter doesn’t work either. I’ve tried for 38 years to discuss problems with my husband. He stares straight through me as if I’m not there. I am made to feel I have done something terribly wrong but what? He says the usual ‘it’s not you it’s me’ but there’s more to it than that. It feels to me as if he wanted everything to go wrong. And it has. And he has someone else and I am pushed out and hurting so much. I feel I am just the maid. I believe he has pyschopathic tendencies which means I will get nowhere. Divorce is not possible at this time for various reasons. This has made me so ill – I have recovered from a major thyroid problem but I’m feeling so stressed again that I know it’s only a matter of time before I become ill again. The other woman is so nasty about me to my husband who is quite happy to let her do this and is nasty about me himself. She doesn’t even know me!!! I feel totally worthless.
